The origins of Abiogen Pharma S.p.A. date back to the beginning of the last century, in Pisa, when Commendatore Alfredo Gentili, my great-grandfather, founded the Galenic Institute, later renamed Istituto Gentili S.p.A.
The acquisition of Istituto Gentili S.p.A. by the American multi-national company Merck Sharp & Dhome in 1997, allowed the establishment of Abiogen Pharma S.p.A.: a new pharmaceutical company that appeared on the Italian and international market with more than 80 years of experience, skills and professionality, having inherited product lines, staff and the sites of Istituto Gentili. |
